About Us

Me, Myself and I...

a woman, a wife and a mother enjoying stepping out onto this path less travelled and discovering the expanse of God and his grace. Finally finding my feet as a mother and finding my freedom following God's leading for our family. Loving living my life to the beat of a different drum!

Braveheart...
The love of my life, my high school sweetheart. Here's a man who pursued me relentlessly, captured my heart and married me...a true fairy tale. An awesome father who teaches with patience and love, and who always has time to play at the end of a work day. His strength and stability are admirable, and his children delight in his creative abilities.

 King Arthur....
  is 6 and a bit.

Updated 21-2-2011: My first born has a noble heart, a penchant for discerning right and wrong, and has a quiet contemplative soul. He is soaking up reading and maths, and loves doing experiments and being read to on the couch. He has recently fallen in love with swimming, and his desire to swim colors all his days! I'm loving his drawings at the moment - sneaking a peek at how he sees the world....

(History - Tonight he wished upon a star for chameleons and lizards in a box, a telescope and a microscope! His favourite colours are black and silver, and like his mom he loves words and books, and loves being told stories. In fact, before he was three he could read a whole story book from memory! He also has a knack for numbers and speed! He is a whiz at building 100 piece puzzles and constructing awesome lego...things!)

Aragorn...
is 4 and a bit.

He has a tender heart of gold and bursts with joy and delight. He embodies a quote I once heard -”Nothing is a gentle as strength, nothing as strong as gentleness”, and his physical strength has been a challenge to channel. I'd have to say that his absolute favourite thing to do is to help...he just loves to serve...whether it's cooking with mom, or taking someone tea and biscuits, or fluffy toys if they've scuffed their knee etc, he just loves to give of himself!
Update - 21-2-2011 Aragorn loves arts and crafts, and I ma delighted that when all is quiet he can be found on the couch or the floor, book in hand. It's too sweet! He's learning how to draw, and is loving doing gymnastics. Sadly our relationship is in a 'love - not so much love' phase right now - beautiful moments where we touch each other's souls, and moments were we clash. Grace!

(History -  He owned the first pet in our family (a fish) and has recently developed an affinity for dogs, although we've yet to adopt one. He loves extra cuddles and hugs, especially saying good night, just one more time mom!)

  Belle
  is 2 and a bit....

My Princess Rose. She is loving reading books, and helping, and singing "ongs" (songs!) and still remains a fearless tree climber and jungle gym scaler as if she has the dexterity of her older brothers!
Update 21-2-2011 - She is loving making her own little friends at school, and wants to be a part of EVERYTHING her brothers are doing. I'm loving her hair finally being long enough for me to clip or tie back - but my that's an art in itself! And she is loving art - painting, drawing, and above all CUTTING!!!! And she doesn't like dresses so much anymore!

(History -  She also loves to help with the washing up because of the bubbles, and could be a Hobbit at heart given how many breakfast she tries to have each morning! And just for the record, let me say again how much I am enjoying the colour pink!)
